MetricPull Support
MetricPull is a free Apple Health export utility. If you have a question or run into an issue, this page should help.
frequently asked questions
Why is my export empty or missing data?
MetricPull can only export data that exists in Apple Health. If a metric shows no values, it means Apple Health doesn't have recorded data for that metric in your selected date range. Check that your Apple Watch, iPhone, or connected app is actually writing that data to Health.
Why am I not seeing a health permission prompt?
iOS only shows the HealthKit permission prompt once. If you previously denied access, go to Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → MetricPull and enable the metrics you want to export.
My CSV looks wrong in Excel or Google Sheets
MetricPull exports standard UTF-8 CSV files. If columns aren’t separating correctly, try importing the file using your spreadsheet app’s Import function (File → Import) rather than double-clicking to open it. Select “comma” as the delimiter.
Can I export data MetricPull doesn’t support?
MetricPull currently supports 25 health metrics across six categories: Body, Activity, Heart, Sleep, Vitals, and Nutrition. If there’s a metric you’d like to see added, reach out using the contact form below.
Does MetricPull upload my data anywhere?
No. All processing happens entirely on your device. MetricPull has read-only access to Apple Health, no user accounts, no analytics, and no network connections. Your health data never leaves your phone unless you explicitly share it using the iOS share sheet.
